Break Room VR: How Timed Contracts, Tools and Breakable Rooms Work
What Break Room VR is, how its timed contracts and six tools work, and who the destruction game suits.

“What Break Room VR is, how its timed contracts and six tools work, and who the destruction game suits.”
Break Room VR is a destruction game for a VR headset. You read a timed contract, pick your tools, and break the targets it names.
This post explains what Break Room VR is, how a session works and who it suits. It is coming soon on aeternusvita.io. You can get notified from the product page when it is ready.
What Break Room VR is
Break Room VR is a destruction game for a VR headset. The short description on Google Play states it in one line: "Read a timed contract, pick your tools, and break the targets in VR."
The long description adds: "A contract tells you what to break, how long you have, and which restriction applies. That restriction changes from one contract to the next. You read it, then you choose your tools."
That is the premise. Each run starts with a contract that names the targets, the time you have and the restriction for that run.
The feature list from the Play copy is six points:
- Three rooms of breakable props
- Six tools to choose for each contract
- Twenty timed contracts with changing restrictions
- A grade for how efficient the break was
- The room resets quickly for the next contract
- Comfort presets, and a desktop spectator view
The subtitle on the brief is "Smash to the contract". The core loop is read contract → choose tools → destroy targets → grade efficiency.
The listing closes with a line from the maker: "Break Room VR is made by aeternusvita.io. Read the contract, pick the tools, and break what it asks for."
How a contract works
Every run starts with a contract. The Play copy says: "A contract tells you what to break, how long you have, and which restriction applies."
You get three pieces of information before you pick up a tool. The target list names the props to break. The time limit tells you how long you have. The restriction applies to that contract only and changes from one contract to the next.
You read the contract first, then you choose your tools. The description says: "You read it, then you choose your tools." You see what the contract asks for and then decide what to take into the room.
When the time starts, you destroy the targets the contract names. The Play copy says: "You destroy the targets the contract names, and the breaks come with effects and sound."
When the time ends, the contract grades your efficiency. The Play copy says: "When the time ends, the contract grades your efficiency." There are twenty contracts in the set, each with its own target list, time and restriction.
Three rooms of breakable props
Break Room VR has three rooms. The feature is "Three rooms of breakable props" and the description says: "Three rooms hold the breakable props."
The rooms hold the props you can break. The contract tells you which of those props are targets for that run. Breaks are shown with effects and sound.
The brief is clear on what is out of scope: building-scale destruction and user-generated rooms are not part of the MVP. The game is three rooms with props inside them, and contracts direct you to the targets within them.
Knowing the layout helps when a contract gives you a short window.
Six tools to choose for each contract
There are six tools in Break Room VR. The feature is "Six tools to choose for each contract" and the description says: "Six tools cover the work."
You choose your tools after you have read the contract. The contract tells you what to break and which restriction applies, and you choose from the six with that in mind.
The Play copy does not name the six tools, so this post keeps to the facts on the page. There are six, you choose among them for each contract, and you use them to destroy the targets the contract names.
The choice matters because the restriction changes each contract.
Twenty timed contracts and the efficiency grade
The set is twenty contracts. The Play copy says: "Twenty contracts make up the set." The feature list repeats it as "Twenty timed contracts with changing restrictions."
The time limit is part of each contract. The run ends when that time ends and you get the grade.
The grade is for efficiency. The Play copy says: "When the time ends, the contract grades your efficiency." The feature list says: "A grade for how efficient the break was." It measures how well you broke what the contract named in the time allowed and under that restriction. It is not a score for breaking everything in the room.
The brief names three pillars: impact satisfaction, clear contracts and rapid reset.
How the reset, settings and viewing work
When a contract ends, the room resets quickly. The Play copy says: "The room resets quickly, so the next one starts on a clear floor."
The fast reset is the rapid reset pillar. You finish a contract and the next starts on a clean floor without a long wait.
Settings are saved on the device. The Play copy says: "Settings are saved on the device, and comfort presets are included." On a headset, your settings stay on that headset.
On a headset linked to a computer, a spectator view shows the room on the desktop. The Play copy says: "On a headset linked to a computer, a spectator view shows the room on the desktop." Someone nearby can see the room while you are in the headset.
The session needs no network connection. The Play copy says: "The session needs no network connection." You can start and finish a contract without being online.
Who it suits
Break Room VR suits players who like destruction games with a clear brief.
It suits you if you like a structured task. Each contract tells you what to break, how long you have and which restriction applies. You work to that brief rather than an open-ended smash.
It suits you if you like choosing tools for the job. You read the contract and then pick from six tools. The restriction changes each time, so the choice is part of the play.
It suits you if you like short, timed runs with a grade at the end.
It suits you if you like a room-scale setup. There are three rooms of breakable props and you work inside them. The breaks come with effects and sound, and the target list keeps the focus on what the contract names.
It suits you if you want an offline headset session. The session needs no network connection, settings are saved on the device, comfort presets are included and a spectator view is available when the headset is linked to a computer.
It is less likely to suit you if you want building-scale destruction or the ability to build your own rooms. Both are listed as explicitly out of scope. It is also less likely to suit you if you want an open-ended sandbox without a timer or a grade.
Coming soon and how to get notified
Break Room VR is coming soon on aeternusvita.io. It has not been released or submitted to a store, there is no price on the page and there are no ratings or reviews yet. The brief lists the release date, price and store IDs as not yet decided.
The web build is hosted and has passed a smoke test, with an HTML5 zip ready for itch.io. The store queue otherwise shows Google Play as not applicable, and Meta Horizon and SideQuest as not applicable for this web-only build. The privacy page is still to be published before any store review.
If you want to hear when it is ready, open Break Room VR on the site and get notified from the product page. That page has the short and long description this post is based on, because this post uses only facts from the brief and the Play listings.
Read the contract, pick the tools and break what it asks for — coming soon. Leave your details on Break Room VR if you want a note when it goes live.
